This is a casual Middle Eastern food stop where the appeal is smoke, bread, dips and grilled meat rather than polish. Public ratings are more mixed than the strongest restaurants here, but the positive comments point to flavour, portions and value.

The restaurant sounds simple and practical. It is better for a relaxed lunch, a quick dinner or takeaway than for a slow formal night out.

The menu leans into kebabs, kofta, hummus, shawarma-style plates, grilled chicken and fresh bread. When those basics are on form, the place makes sense.

This is the Greek taverna on the sea-road of Limassol owned by real Greek (not Cypriot) family.

The restaurant might look like your average touristic area taverna, but believe me, it's worth the visit. The owner and the other staff are very friendly. The service speeds are on a slower side so don't go there if you're in a rush. The place is clean and tasty so you wouldn't want to leave soon anyway. In the winter they turn the wooden log fireplace on.

The menu contains all Greek clichees - moussaka, kleftiko etc., as well as a great choice of the grilled dishes - both meat and fish. The menu is well-balanced and you might find yourself coming here for a few times to try everything out.

Pelmentor Agora in Limassol is a casual dumpling and street-food stop I would choose when I want something quick, warm and a little different. It works well as a light meal or a snack-heavy lunch.

The restaurant It feels informal and practical, with a quick-service mood rather than a long dining experience. I like it when I want something comforting without sitting down for too long.

The menu It is best for dumplings, small plates, sauces and easy Asian-style bites. I would order a few dumplings and maybe a side, because the variety matters more than one large dish.

Just Shawarma in Limassol is a quick, practical place for exactly what the name promises. I would use it when I want a simple shawarma, a wrap, or a filling casual meal without sitting down for too long.

The restaurant It feels like a straightforward street-food stop, with convenience and speed doing most of the work. I like it for a quick lunch or late dinner when the craving is clear and the order should be easy.

TGI Fridays is one of the restaurants reviewed on Foodie.cy.

The restaurant TGI Fridays Enaerios in Limassol is a familiar American chain restaurant in a strong seafront location. Reviews describe the vibe as lively and convenient for groups, families and casual meals when you want known flavors rather than a local discovery.

The menu The better-reviewed dishes are the ribs, burgers, Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta, salads, appetizers, cheesecake and cocktails. Diners like the variety and the sea-adjacent setting, but prices are often described as high and consistency depends on the branch, server and time of day.

This is a nice and cheap pizza restaurant chain with a few locations.

The restaurant usually serves take-away because of very modest interior. There's no service as such, you order near the cash desk and wait for your fresh oven-baked pizza. There's very little waiting time, but bear in mind there's trouble parking nearby the Germasoya Sea-road place.

The menu has all kinds of very cheap oven-baked pizza. It's classical, so don't expect aubergines with stuffed mussels.

This is a typical meze tavern with a fireplace and a friendly service.

The restaurant is located up on the hill above Limassol. It's not as expensive as some Limassol restaurants and not so far from the town as some village ones. So there's always plenty of locals ready to enjoy dry souvlas, sour olives and bitter asparagus.

The menu is non-existent. You can only get a meze there.

This is a casual Syrian food stop in Limassol, just a practical shawarma-and-grill place.

The restaurant is simple and takeaway-friendly. I would not choose it for atmosphere first, but it works well when you want fast food with real grill smells and no ceremony.

The menu has Syrian and Middle Eastern staples such as shawarma, grilled meat, sandwiches, dips and quick plates. That is where it makes the most sense.

This might look like another traditional Cyprus taverna, but it's more than this.

The restaurant is located on the cozy one-way street of the Pyrgos village. Keep in mind that there's no parking nearby, so be prepared to park down the street and enjoy a nice little walk around the village.

The menu is full of traditional Cyprus dishes. You can find mouthwatering moussaka, huge crispy pork chop or generous lamb chops.
